Welton. Richard le Campioun son of Henry le Campioun of Weletone , quit-claims to Thomas the tailor of the same and Cristiana his wife for a certain sum of money, his right in 3 acres of arable land and 3 roods of meadow in W⟨elton⟩ , which they had by the gift and sale of the said Henry his father, viz. in the west field, ½ acre at Wayetnesfel by the land late of John Martyn : 3 half acres lying together at Cockesmedeoverende by the land late of William Ace , and in 2 roods lying together beneath Le ... Mor by the land of William de Caldecote ; in the north field, ½ acre above Ferifurlong by the land which Robert le Noreys held in villainage; and in the south field ½ acre of meadow in at Mathewether by the meadow of John Malory ; and in the east field, a rood of meadow in Overende, by the meadow late of William Hoycke . SANDFORD, NEWNHAM, LITTLEMORE, and IFFLEY. John Laurence de la More quit-claims to Ralph, son of William de Saunforde , and Agnes, his wife, all the right which he has in three messuages, two carucates of land, and 12s. rent in Saunford, Newenham, Lutlemor, and Zistele, together with the reversion of the tenements held by Joan , wife of Ralph de Saunford , by the name of dower. Dated at Saunford the Friday-next after the feast of St. Barnabas, 5 Ed. II.

TOWCESTER, co. Northampton. Mutilated account of receipts and payments from the tithes of Towcester with reference to the grant to the Pope for six years. Temp. Ed. I. [See also Ch. 26 and Ch. 26b.] .

Final concord made at Westminster on the morrow of All Souls ... between Henry de ... and Ralph Bulge , by which the said Ralph grants certain land in Estrop to the abbot and convent of Oseney, in frankalmoigne. (c. 1275-76.) [Mutilated.] .

THENFORD, Northamptonshire. Indenture between the abbot and convent of Oseney, and the prior and convent of Coldnorton, concerning two parts of the tithes of the fee which antiently belonged to the church of St. George within the castle, Oxford, within the parish church of Theneford. Dated at Cold Norton, 20 March, 1394. [Mutilated.]

STOKE DOYLEY (Northamptonshire). Margaret, daughter of the late Edward Doily , grants to Egelina , who was the wife of sir John Bagod of Bromleygh Bagod, kt., for her life, all her lands and tenements in Stokedoily which she had of the gift and feoffment of the said Egelina. Dated at Stoke Doiley the Monday next after the feast of St. Barnabas the apostle, 47 Ed. III.

Henry of Lancaster, earl of Derby, confirms to D⟨aventry⟩ all the lands, &c., which Thomas fitz-Walter of D⟨aventry⟩ gave them. Given at Kenilworth. 11 Oct. ⟨1338.⟩

Drayton. John Deye of D⟨aventry⟩ , chaplain, and Robert Rose grant to Peter, prior, &c., of D⟨aventry⟩ all the land in D⟨aventry⟩ and Drayton which they had of the gift of John Snow of D⟨aventry⟩ and Thomas Roberd of the same, viz. (i) 4 strips of the gift of J⟨ohn⟩ S⟨now⟩ in the east field of D⟨aventry⟩ —two lying by the Redewell over le Middelfurlong, between the land late of Agnes Martyn of Welton and that late of Robert Fyscher of Drayton ; and two reach to Tunslade, between the land of the said Agnes, and that of Alice Cumfray ; (ii) ½ an acre in Drayton of the gift of Thomas, lying over le Rowfurlong by the land of Roger of D⟨aventry⟩ ; (iii) a rent of 3/- which they had of the gift of John le Warde of Westhaddon . For 30 years. Given at D⟨aventry⟩ . West-Haddon. Henry son of Gilbert of Norton grants to D⟨aventry⟩ and the chapel of S. Mary in free alms 6d. rent in W⟨est⟩ H⟨addon⟩ , from a messuage lying between the prior of D⟨aventry⟩’s place on the north and that held by Geoffrey son of Susan from the prior on the south.
