Alice and Joan , daughters and heiresses of Bartholomew of Henlee of W⟨allingford⟩ , grant to Richard de Louches , son and heir of John, a house in the parish of St. Mary the Less, W⟨allingford⟩ , between the houses of the prior &c. of W⟨allingford⟩ on either side. Witnesses: John Maryot, mayor, Ralph le Taverner , Gilbert of Maundeville , and William le Feron , aldermen, Sweyn of Mortele , Simon of Heyworth , Robert of Bedewynde , and Nicholas of Tomestone , reeves, ’et multis aliis cum toto burgomoto’. ⟨11 July 1309.⟩

William Badecok of W⟨allingford⟩ grants to John Cary of W⟨allingford⟩ and Joan his wife a tenement, which he had of the gift of Thomas son and heir of Thomas of Berewyk , in S. Mary the Greater, between the messuage of Agnes widow of John atte Dene on the south, and that of Robert Boty on the north, reaching the highway on the west above the messuage of the said R. B. William Reynaldyn of Wallingford , after reciting that Gregory, formerly the prior, and convent of Wallingford, had granted to Richard Mariot two selds near his tenement in the parish of St. Mary the Greater, and one other place near the said tenement, paying annually for the 2 selds 6s. 6d. and to the sacrist of the priory for the other place 18d. as is contained in a certain writing, the rents being in arrear, and discord happening between the prior and convent and the heirs of Richard, the said William covenants that if the rents be wholly or in part unpaid, the prior and convent may distrain on his tenement which was formerly John Mariot 's for such arrears. Dated at Wallingford the Thursday next after the feast of the translation of St. Thomas the martyr, 44 Ed. III.

Alice Foliot of W⟨allingford⟩ grants to Sir John Kentwode, kt., John Arblaster and Henry Maundevile a tenement in W⟨allingford⟩ , between that of John Poulyn on the south and Denyseslane, on the north, reaching from the high road to Wodestret, which she had of the gift of Reginald Bulde Ro, rector of St. Mary’s, W⟨allingford⟩ , and Richard Bedford, chaplain, for life, with reversion to heir, heirs and assigns, after the death of William Lytfot and Joan his wife. Indenture witnessing that the two tenements, formerly John Brouns' of Slottesford in the parish of St. Mary the Greater, Wallingford, belonging to Juliana Gary , are charged with an annual rent of 3s. due to the prior and convent of Wallingford, as appears by their evidences, which rent is reduced to xijd. for a term of 29 years, at the end of which term it will again be 3s. as before. Dated at Wallingford the Monday next after the feast of St. Faith, 17 Rich. II.
