EVELITH. Adam Traynell of Hetton grants to Ivo his nephew the whole of his manor of Ivelith, also common pasture for the whole of his cattle within the said manor and tenements in Ivelith and Hynynton in his land of Hetton. (c. 1260-80?.) [Very doubtful; possibly a forgery. See Eyton's Shropshire II, p. 169 where it is described.] .

TORPHICHEN (House of St. John of Jerusalem at). Philip de Carriber , son and heir of Adam Manclerc of Carriber , grants to the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem of Thorphyen in frankalmoigne an annual rent of 2s. from his land of Carriber and one mark as his death and at that of each of his heirs, in name of a third part of his goods. (The grantor, and all the witnesses except three are found signing the Rageman Roll in 1296). (c. 1290-1300.) .

BRUTON. Agreement between the priors of Bruton and Horsley on one part, and Richard de Naylesworth and Gilbert his son on the other, that the latter shall have one acre above their tenement of Luddesmore and enclose it, and the said religious shall have freely all the close which they had on the Monday before feast St Thomas Apostle 19 Edward [I], and all the land between the meadow of Horemere up to the place called Wancroft, and also Chirchefurlong. [No date, a little after 1299.] .

SWERDLING (Manor of) [Parish of Petham, co. Kent]. Sir Werresius de Valoyngnes, kt., quit-claims to Cecilia who was wife of Brandan Cokkel , and their heirs or assigns, all services and customs he and her and their ancestors were accustomed to make to him and his ancestors, for the lands and tenements held of him of his manor of Swerdling, but saving to him and his rent of assize in money, hens, heysilver, Romesedt(?), honey, etc. For this quit-claim and present charter in the 55th year of K. Henry III on Ash Wednesday the said Cecilia gave 4 marks.

WEFORD and HASTAY. Thomas, the prior, and convent of Canewell remit and quit-claim to sir William de Oddyngeseles, kt., a certain old ditch which divides his park of Woford and their wood of Hastay, for exchange of lands and tenements between their house of Canwell on the one part, and sir Ralph de Lymeseye and the lady Joan de Hoddyngeseles of the other, provided that neither party shall be able to claim anything from the other by reason of the ditch. Dated at Weford the day of Conception of the B. V. M., 23 Ed. I.

MORTON. Convention made Ascension day, 28 Ed. I, by which Michael, son of Michael de Morton , demises to William Wardecors , for a term of 32 years, for 30s. in hand paid, a messuage with a curtilage and half a virgate of land in the village of Morton, which the said William formerly held, paying annually for the same 6s.

James, son of Reginald de Morton , grants to Michael, son of William de Morton , the whole of his part which lie has in 'le Polsiche' to make a fish-pond, with the whole reflow of water and sufficient land for the same, for which the said Michael gives the whole of his part which he has in a certain meadow called 'le Hokmedue,' near the water-mill of Morton, and half a mark. (1260.) Witn. sir William de Cavershwalle, sheriff of Staffordshire and Salop , etc.

SANDWELL (Priory of). Richard N..(?) of Little B[arr] grants to the church of S. Mary Magd. and monks of Sondwell, in frankulmoigne, a certain part of his land to increase the land of the said monks. (c. 1240-50.) .

ESILBERGH (Bucks) [Eddlesborough]. Alan de Maydewelle certifies to H[ugh] bishop fo Lincoln that he remits and quit-claims all right in the half of the church of Esilbergh to the prior and monks of Sandwell. (c. 1230.) .

STANLOWE. William, son of Robert Avenel of Midilton , grants to William, son of Milo de Siverhul , the whole of his land which he has at Stanlowe in the territory of Midilton, Caldalowe and elsewhere, saving the dowry of his mother " Dyonisie "; paying annually one penny, (c. 1270-80.) .

CALFDON [Cauldon]. Bertram, son of William, son of Ralph , grants to Nicholas the clerk, son of Geoffrey the clerk of Esseburn , for 2 1/2 marks, 8 bovates of land in Calfdon, and three tofts, with three acres, in the same village, at an annual rent of 10s. [c. 1200] .

RUGELEY. Richard de Puteo of Rugeleye grants to Robert ad fontem of Wlseleye , for his homage and service and half a mark of silver, four 'seillions' of his land in the fields of Ruggele, paying annually to him and his heirs one penny, (c. 1240-50.) .

COKESLONE. William, son of Richard de Harecurt , grants to Gilbert Reyner of Stafford three virgates of land in Cokeslone, paying annually 12d. of silver. (c. 1260-70.) [Richard H. died in 1258] .

[CROKESDENE,] and all abbeys &c. of the Cistercian order. Bull of Pope Innocent [IV], granting to the queen of Henry III [Eleanor], the privilege of entering the abbeys and monasteries of the Cistercian order with her attendants, and spending the night there, notwithstanding the statutes of the order. Dated at Lyons, 2 Kl. May, 7th year of his pontificate, [1250]. [With the bulla.] .

Stafford. Master William, son of William Gunny , grants to John the baker ('pistori') of Stafford for 21s. certain land with the buildings &c. in Hungrey street, at an annual rent of 2d. (c. 1260-70.) Witn. William Bonamy and Richard Arnethion , "tunc prepositis Brug", etc. .

WEDNESBURY. Adam de Hamwolde grants to Richard de Scrinklinge , son of Robert , and to Matilda his wife, and to John his eldest son for 17s. one half acre of land of his tenement of Hamwolde lying in the parish of Wednesberghe at Suthamwolde. Dated September, 9 Ed. [I] (1281). .
