L⟨aurence⟩ , prior, and the chapter of St. Mary of Giseburg, grant to Luciane de Lund that house of Jarum on the north of the church, which Ern⟨isius⟩ , the chaplain, gave them in frankalmoigne; at an annual rent of 5s. to the use of the sacrist. (c. 1211-18.) .

Walter Faucomberge, lord of the castle of Skelton , appoints John de Levincthon his attorney to give seisin to the prior and convent of Gyseburn, of one acre of land in exchange, lying near the church of Mersk. (1275.) .

MALTON Priory. William, son of William de Redburn , confirms to the convent of St. Mary of Malton, in frankalmoigne, six bovates of land in Little Edeston, with tofts and crofts, &c. pertaining to the same, doing the customary services to the lord of Sivelington . (c. 1260.) .

Philip de Colleville grants to the hospital of St. James, near Alverton, two acres of land in Dritdale, near to their tenement of Ellerbeck. (c. 1240-50.) .

⟨ Allerton (?)⟩ Robert, son of Adam de Alverton , grants to the hospital of St. James of Alverton, in frankalmoigne, two parts of a toft. (c. 1240-50.) .

YORK (Hospital of St. Leonard). William de Kirtelington, chaplain, grants to the poor of the hospital of St. Leonard, York, all his lands and tenements which he holds of the said hospital in the village of Kirtelington, together with all the good and chattels therein. Dated at York, 11 April, 26 Ed. I.

ATON. William Albus, son of Richard de Aton , grants to John, son of William of Aton , for 100s. given to him in his great necessity, two bovates of land in the territory of Aton, formerly held by Henry the Smith of Wicham and Gilbert son of Lambert , with two tofts and crofts; paying annually 2d. (c. 1200.)

William de Adthwic, son of Sablina , grants to sir Gilbert de Atun the whole of his land in Atun. (c. 1200.)

William, son of Robert de Atun , grants to Gilbert de Atun and to his heirs, for three marks, one bovate of land in the territory of Atun, which lies near the land of William son of Richard de Hatevic , with the toft which Robert le Vacker held of the grantor; paying yearly 4d. (c. 1220.)

Robert, son of Hervic de Aton , grants to Thomas, son of William Daudry of Aton , for a certain sum of money in hand paid, because of his most urgent necessity, the breadth of one rood of meadow in the meadow of Aton, lying between the meadow of sir William Jurdan and that which Hilger Haylild holds. (c. 1250-60.)

Robert, son of Hervic de Aton , grants to Thomas Daudry of Aton for a sum of money in his necessity, a certain selion of land in the territory of Aton, lying at the great hill on the west of the vill. Dated Pentecost, 1260. (Witn. almost entirely the same as those to MS. Ch. Yorks. 180) .

William, son of Gilbert de Aton , grants to Adam, son of William le Beaugraunt , and his legitimate heirs one toft with buildings, 3 acres and one rood of arable land, and one rood of meadow in the village of Aton. (c. 1240-50.)

Roger, the clerk of Aton , grants to Alice his daughter and her heirs, one toft in the village of Aton and one selion of land there, between the land formerly Lecia's, the grantor's sister, and that of Michael formerly of Adwyck , extending from the place called Hildegrippe to Cisedelle. (c. 1260-70.) .

Cristiana, daughter of Ralph, son of Letitia de Aton , widow, grants to Matilda, her daughter, 3s. of annual rent in Aton, subject to the condition that if William, son of Richard le Palmer , her uncle, returns from France at any future time, he shall receive the said rent and all that has meanwhile been paid, according to the charter given by him to the said Cristiana. Fourpence to be paid yearly to the church of St. Marten Semer. (c. 1270-80.) .

GRAYSTAN. Richard, son of Adam de Screnam , grants to Robert, son of Hugh , for 5 marks, 5 acres of land in his croft in the middle place of Graystan up to Godefrayheved. Should the said Robert's wife Matilda survive him, she is to have her third part for her life. (c. 1240.)

INGLEBY. John de Kirkeby grants to John de Eure and Agnes his wife the homage and service of William del How and his heirs for lands and tenements which he holds in Ingelbi near Grenehou, and also the homage and service of the prioress of Basadale for lands, &c. in the same village, and the homage and service of Thomas the son of Walter Lane for lands, &c. in the same, also the homage, &c. of William the son of Juliana , for lands, &c. in the same. (c. 1270-80.) .

MORTON. Simon de Skestling grants to Emma his daughter two bovates of land in Morton, viz. the two bovates which Cristiana de Giseburne held; for her clothing and necessaries of life with remainder on her death to the convent of St. Mary of Basdal. (c. 1200-10.) .

Thomas Chaymang of Brunton grants to Thomas de Dales, abiding in Salden , that land which he has at Fukedal which extends from the valley of Salden to uns... Buttes, in exchange for land in the marsh. (Very singular hand, with several mis-spellings.) (c. 1290-1300.) .

Ralph Bucel quit-claims and confirms to Gilbert de Aton for three marks and at annual rent of 2s. two bovates of land in the territory of Wicham and Rostun, which the said Ralph had claimed in the King's Court, and which Robert son of Roger Galice and Juliana daughter of Gervase Galice hold of him. (c. 1200-10.) .
