John de la Pomeray confirms to John, son of Nicholas de Osgotby , a certain assart in Osgotby called 'Arnebrandriding,' also 12d. annual rent out of the said assart and one sellion of land near the way leading to the moor of Osgotby, paying annually to the prior of Draxe at the great altar of St. Nicholas of Drax one rose for all services. DUFFELD. Alan Wastehose grants to Peter, son of Godfrey de Roxtun , one bovate of land in Duffeld, which Adam, the son of Elviva held; rendering yearly one pound of cummin. (c. 1200-10.)

GRIMESTON. Andrew de Grimeston, clerk, grants to Thomas de Grimeston, clerk, one piece of his close in Grimeston. Witness. Hugh, vicar of Garton, then dean of Holderness . (c. 1250-60.) .

Alice and Ysabella, daughters and heirs of Richard, son of Alan de Grymestone , confirm and quit-claim to Thomas de Grymestone, clerk, two bovates of land with a toft and croft in the village of Grymestone, which they held from the same Thomas, and which came to them from their father; and also all their right in one acre which Richard le Marchant bought of Alan the Miller . William, son of Ralph de Grymeston , grants to Thomas de Grymeston, clerk, a close in Grymeston, together with two ridges of meadow, a toft, croft, and two bovates of land in the same village. (c. 1250-1260.) .

John Chekym of Hedon grants to William, son of Stephen de Hedon and Agnes his wife, a messuage lying between a messuage of the said William on the west part and a messuage of the late Henry Brouneghe on the east; paying yearly 14d. to the service of B. Mary in the church of St. Augustine of Hedon. (c. 1280-1290.) .

HOTON. Cecilia, relict of Hugh de Driffeld , quit-claims to William called 'Schynner' of Hotun all right and claim in a toft and croft in the village of Hoton. (c. 1230-40.)

Henry Staing[reve] , with the consent of Simon his brother and lord, grants to John, son of Waldigg the chaplain , 11 acres of his demesne in the marsh of Neuhay ("Nova haga") and 7 acres above Fultac, paying annually one lb of pepper and one of cummin. (c. 1200-10.) .

Henry, son of Alice de Neuhay, daughter of Henry de Stainegrive , quit-claims to Richard de Happlesthorp the whole of her land in the territory of Neuhay ("Nova haya"), which the said Richard has by charter from the said Alice. (c. 1230-40.) .

Henry, son of Alice de Stainegrive , confirms to Richard de Aplesthorp in the territory of Neuhay ("Nove Haye") one acre of land which he bought of Robert Houthendel of Seleby lying in the marsh, and also 2 other acres in the marsh of the same village, which he bought of Hugh son of Adam , paying annually 2d. (c. 1240-1250.)

Alice de Newhay, daughter of Henry de Staynegrive , sells to Richard de Happlesthorp , for a sum of money which he gave her in her great necessity, 2½ acres of land in New Hay; paying yearly one half penny. (c. 1230-1240.)

Robert Outhendel of Seleby sells to Henry, son of Alice de Stainegrive for 10s. and one "esckeppa" of corn. Witn. Martin provost of Seleby etc. one acre of land in the marsh of Neuhay ("Nova haia"). (c. 1230.)

SUTTON. Stephen Lungespee grants to Philip de Wappele 17½ acres and one rood of arable land in the fields of Sutton, and one half-acre of meadow. (c. 1270.) .

Jordan, son of John de la Pomeraye , grants to John, son of Nicholas de Osgoteby , and his heirs, a certain assart in Osgoteby which is called 'Arenbrandridding', which the said Nicholas formerly held of Jordan's father, John; also he grants to the said John 12 pence rents, to hold of the prior and convent of Drax by the service of one rose annually, at the great altar of B.
