In the 41st Hen. III, on the feast of St. Laurence, a convention was made between sir Richard, the abbot, and convent of Oseney, on the one part, and Hugh de Burgo le Mazun and Joan his wife of the other, viz. that the abbot and convent grant to the said Hugh and Joan his wife that messuage with appurtenances in the parish of St. Thomas the martyr, which is between the land of William de Foulewell, le lingedraper, and the land which was sometime Adam's the porter, to hold the same for ever, paying annually 10s. sterling.
