ADDERBURY, Oxon. Nicholas de Weston, merchant, grants to Adam his eldest son, one messuage and two crofts in 'Abbirbire,' and one carucate of land in the fields of the same village; paying annually to the lord of the fee 6d. for all secular service. Witness. William D'Lisle, then sheriff of Oxon , etc. (c. 1270-71.) .

Emma, wife of William de Wodeston , acknowledges that she has remitted to the abbot of Oseney and his successors for ever, all her right and claim which she had by name of dowry in the third part of a messuage, one carucate of land, 18s. 9d. rent, in Addbrbyre, of the gift of Nicholas de Weston her first husband. For this the said abbot paid to her and William her husband, £100 by instalments. (c. 1277.) .

Final concord in the king's court at Westminster on the morrow of the Ascension of our Lord, 5 Ed. I, between William, the abbot of Oseney [1277], plaintiff, and William de Wodeston and Emma his wife, deforciants, concerning a third part of one messuage and one carucate of land, and 18s. 9d. annual rent, in Adburbury, by which William and Emma quit-claim to the abbot and his successors and his church of Oseney all their right in the said land &c., by the name of dowry. For this the abbot gave 100s. sterling.

The abbot and convent of Oseney hold themselves bound to Hugh de Hynton and Matilda his wife, Ralph de Astrop and Wilelmina his wife, in nineteen marks sterling, in settlement of a dispute between them, and the said Hugh and others of the one part, and sir Richard de Lyons and Emma his wife of the other part, concerning all the tenements which they have in Abberbire, of the gift of Nicholas de Weston , for which the said Richard had impleaded the abbot and convent in the king's court. Dated at Oseney on the feast of St. Luke evang., 16 Ed. I.

Hugo de Tywe grants and quitclaims all he has in Adderbury to Nicholas de Weston: witnesses, Rad. de Dyve, Ioh. Kachelewe, Rog. de Bereford, Rob. le Butiler, Ioh. fil. Ricardi, Will. de Maidewell, Ric. fil. Nigelli, Rob. Turgis, Will. de Berton. It states that the rent was a pair of gilt spurs or sixpence. c. 1270

Emma, widow of Nicholas de Weston, quitclaims to Oseney all the tenements in Adderbury, which her late husband sold to Oseney for 225 marks, of which she received 100 marks as her dos.
