Indenture made between (1) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, and (2) Thomas Gover of North Fareham, Hampshire, yeoman, being a lease for 11 years by (1) to (2) of freehold lands in the manor of Roche Court, Hampshire [details given], and for 1 year of copyhold premises in the manor (endorsed: Gover 30 Sept 1714. 11/1724. 18 Augt 1725 7 years/1732). A further lease of the property to Gover dated 11 August 11 Geo. I, 1724 and signed and sealed by him is attached.

Indenture made between (1) William Russell of Wickham, Hampshire, esq., Jonathan Rashleigh of London, merchant, and Joseph Harvey of London, gent., and (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, being a lease for 1 year by (1) to (2) of lands in the parish of Fareham, Hampshire [details given] (endorsed: '3d July 1716. Attested copy of the bargain and sale enrolled in Chancery from Mr George Bellamy [of London, gent., son and heir of George Bellarmy late of Gosport, Hampshire, gent., deceased] to Mr William Russell [of Wickham, Hampshire, esq.], Mr Jonathan Rashleigh [of London, merchant] and Mr Joseph Harvey [of London, gent.] concerning lands in North Fareham, Hampshire [details given], parcel of the manor of North Fareham alias Roche Court, Hampshire, in trust for Mr William Russell and his heirs (endorsement) (also endorsed '3d July 1716' and 'Gardiner').

No. 10') (with many amendments to names of tenants, places and amounts of money).

Mortgage. Fareham (Hampshire). 2 Geo. II. Apr. 28, 1729. Indenture made between (1) Richard Callaway of Fareham, Hampshire, Innholder, and (2) Robert Stares of Curdridge in the parish of Bishops Waltham, Hampshire, yeoman, being a mortgage by (1) to (2) of £200 concerning to the Red Lion Inn, Fareham, Hampshire, and lands there [details given] (endorsed: 'Mr Richd Callaway to Mr Rob Stares } Mortgage for £200. Date 28th Apr 1729. No. 4').

Lease. Roche Court (Hampshire). 8 Geo. II. Sep. 3, 1734. Indenture made between (1) Sir Brocas Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, baronet, and (2) Thomas Govar of North Fareham, Hampshire, yeoman, being a lease for 7 years of freehold lands in the manor of North Fareham alias Roche Court [details given], and one year during the residue of the 7 year of copyhold lands there (endorsed: 1734. Thomas Gover. Roch Court ?&c') (found inside: a small white envelope sealed with a red wax armorial applied seal).

Assignment of mortgage. Fareham (Hampshire). 10 Geo. II. Oct. 25, 1736. Indenture made between (1) Robert Stares of Curdridge in the parish of Bishops Waltham, Hampshire, yeoman; (2) Richard Callaway of Fareham, Hampshire, Innholder, and (3) John Cawte of Titchfield, Hampshire, gent., reciting the mortgage by (2) to (1) dated 28 April 1729, being an assignment of that mortgage by (1) to (3) concerning to the Red Lion Inn, Fareham, Hampshire, and lands there [details given] (endorsed: 'Mr Stares to Mr Cawte } Assignment of Mr Callaway's mortgage for £200 & Interest at the rate of 5 per cent. Dat: 25th October 1736. No. 5').

Lease. Stoke Charity (Hampshire). 31 Ed. III. Oct. 3, 1357. Lease by Johanna de Roches, widow of Sir John de Roches, of her dower lands in Eldstoke [or Oldstoke] for her life to Thomas de Hampton for a rent of 40s.

Grant. Stoke Charity (Hampshire). 21 Hen. VII. Sept. 4, 1505,. Grant of Brocasmede or another meadow by William Brocas (3) to the Abbot and Convent of Hide, for 21 years for 20s per annum.

Exemplification under the Royal Seal of a Plea of Trespass committed by Richard Waller, Peter Sone, 'yeoman', and Richard Drelker, all 'late of Oldstoke', on Richard Pexsall's land at Oldstoke, called Brocas-mede.
