Giles de Erdintone grants to Thomas de la Hurne , for his homage and service, his capital messuage in Eston near the church, and the whole meadow and moor in that part called Stockedemedue with their appurtenances, and 24 acres of land in the same village, for which the said Thomas gave in exchange a tenement in the village of Erdington and a rent of 2 1/2 d., excepting the moor under the mill of Wytton which the said Thomas holds of Nicholas Salemon , paying annually to the said Giles and his heirs 40d. sterling. (c. 1260-70.) .

Richard, son of Nicholas de Fonte , grants to William, son of Geoffrey Wodard , for his service and 10s., one half acre of arable land in the parish of Eston, namely, that which he has in 'Wodeweyeforlonge' and which Hugh de la Liche sometime held, paying annually one clove at Easter for all services. (c. 1270-80.) .

John, the prior, and the canons of Tykeford authorise Hugh de Hopewas, canon of Lichfield , and John de Astone, chaplain, who are bound to pay 80 marks to the priory for the farm of the church of Astone, to pay to the chapter of Lichfield 80 marks, owing to the said chapter by the prior and canons by name of a certain annual pension, saving the allowance of 68s. as is expressed in indentures. Dated at Tykeford the Monday next after the feast of the Annunciation, 1354.

John de Garys, the prior, and convent of Tykeford near Neweport Paynel, demise to Hugh de Hopewas, canon of Lichfield , and John de Aston, chaplain, the church of Aston [near Birmingham], and their parsonage of the said church, with the tithes of corn of Aston, Wythton, Dodeton, Necheles, and Erdington, for five years, paying annually 16 marks sterling. Dated at Tykeford the Sunday on the feast of the Purification, 28 Ed. III.

WITTENASS (Whitnash in Warwickshire). Richard Kenteis grants to William, son of Agnes , for his homage and service, two virgates of land in Wittenass in fee and heirship, namely that which Margaret and Baldwin held, paying annually for the same 20s. William, son of Robert de Harecurt , grants to William Part and his heirs, for his homage and service, the bodies of Geoffrey the carter and of Robert Batele , his natives, with all their belongings, together with half a virgate of land which the said Geoffrey and Robert hold in the village of Greneberue; paying annually for the same one pair of white gloves of the price of one penny at Easter for all secular services and demands. Indenture by which Richard, abbot of Tewkesbury leases to William Warde, lately of Everton (Gloucs.) , Margery his wife, and William and Thomas their sons, the manor of Little Compton, with certain lands called Byllandis, and a close called Taylershay, from the feast of the Annunciation last past for 40 years, if any of them shall live as long. Rent: £5/6/8. They are bound to the abbot in a bond of £20, of the same date, to keep the agreement. Given at Tewkesbury, in the chapter-house. 19 Sept. ⟨1438.⟩

Fine by which George Nevyle, kt., lord of Bergevenny, grants to Rouland Hylle , Richard Wylsone , Thomas Lee , William Cotton , and William Hylle , John Gratewood , and Thomas Dyremayne , a rent of £29 in Wyggyntone, Hoppas Cotton, Cumberford, and Tamworth. For this they gave him £600. (Both halves of the indenture are preserved.) ⟨27 Jan.⟩ 1534.

Letters patent of Humfraye Cumberforthe, gentleman, son and heir of the late Thomas C⟨umberforthe⟩ , gentleman, Whereas Roland Hill granted to Sir Thomas Pope the rent of £29 arising out of the manors of W⟨igginton⟩ &c., 24 messuages, a water-mill, 1000 acres of land, 120 acres of meadow, 200 acres of pasture, 5 acres of woode, 160 acres of ‘Furres and Hethe’, and £16 rent for fishing rights in the water of Tame, in W⟨igginton⟩ , Hoppas, C⟨umberford⟩ , Cotton, and Tamworth, of which rents H. C. is now owner, H. C. now confirms them to Sir Thomas Pope. 31 May ⟨1541.⟩

Umfrid de Montibus grants a meadow in Bulestake to Oseney. Aug. 1, 1239.

King Henry III quitclaims the meadows in Bulestake, outside Banton, and Suthcote to Oseney for certain annual payments. June 10, 1248.

Thomas de la Grave, son of Fulco de la Grave, grants a meadow that Gaufridus, son of Durandus holds in Bulestac, to Oseney. c. 1195.

John, son of Alan Fabri sells and quitclaims his meadows beyond Bolestake to Simon Balehorn for 2s. c. 1230.
