Emma de Kyngestone, relict of William de la Broke , remits and quit-claims to Thomas, the prior, and canons of the Causeway, all her right by the name of dowry in a messuage with a curtilage near Arundel bridge with Richard Doding, mayor of Arundel. (c. 1260-70.) .

CHITEHURST. Certificate by Ivo, archdeacon of Chichester between Thomas, the prior, and convent of the Causeway, Arundel, and John le Wesselyr, rector of the church of Chitehurst, concerning an annual pension of 5s. for the tithe of the land which Roger de Kyngesham held in Chitehurst, in which the former composition (see MS. Ch. Sussex 50) is recited. Dated 1285. [Mutilated.] .

William Caumvile grants to John Polyngs of Arundel and Alice his wife a garden and 1½ acre of land in Warnecampe. Dated at Warnecampe the Monday before the feast of St. Mark, 44 Ed. III.
Richard Mor . . . and Agnes his wife and Alice their daughter appoint John Clerk to deliver seisin to .... and Alice his wife, the whole of their tenement and croft at the Causeway near Arundel. Dated at Chichester the Monday on the feast of St. Andrew the apostle, 46 Ed. III. (This appears to be the date but in 46 Edw. III the feast fell on Tuesday) [Barely legible.] .
WARBLINGTON. Mutilated indenture between Henry, the prior, and the canons of the Causeway, Arundel, and John le Buteler, the lord of Lymbourne in the parish of Warblyngton giving him the appointing of a canon to priory for him, his mother Joan , and his wife Joan &c. in return for lands and tenements in Westbourne given to them by him; &c. Dated the Wednesday next before the feast of St. Martin, 1351.

HAVEDELL. Katherine, the prioress, and the nuns of the monastery of Lenemenstre release to John L..., the prior and convent of the Causeway, Arundel, all claims arising from the lease of five acres of land near Havedell in the parish of Lenemenstre, which the said priory held for a certain term of years now expired by grant from Robertthe then prior and convent to Joan the then prioress and convent. Dated at Lenemenstre on the vigil of the Purification, 5 Rich. II. Witnesses. John Michel, prior of Tortyngton, Robert vicar of Lenemenstre etc.
Letter of credence from Thomas Essnynge, the mayor of the borough of Arundel and certain burgesses therein named, authorising Richard Skyer to collect for the repair of the Causeway and bridge at Arundel, which will fall unto ruin unless spedily repaired. Dated at Arundel on the feast of St. Leonard the abbot, 33 Hen. VI.
[SEWEDON ?] [recte Selkedon?] Indenture witnessing that John Gyfford, prior of St. Bartholomew 'de Calceto, Arundel', and the convent of the same demise to John Apsle the whole of a wood called Stonyland near Seweden, Sussex, to cut down and do away with .....
