Wilby. 1688. Copy of court roll. Court of Robert Thomsons, esq., held by Philip Clarke, gent., his steward, at court of 8 Sept. 34 Charles II. Richard Greene of Wilby, gent., holding as villein, surrenders to use of his will. Greene died in seisin. Richard Greene, senior, his son comes by Alice Greene his mother and produces the will (dated 9 May 1687). Seisin is therefore given to Richard in holdings described, as he is only 5, wardship is given to Alice. Dated: Fri 23 Nov., 4 James II
