SOMERLEYTON. Ralph the cook of B[ran...tre (Brancaster?] grants to Bartholomew, son of Robert de ..., for 6d. an annual rent of one halfpenny from certain land in Somerleyton (Sumerlethun), add by William son of Geoffrey B.ges (Braxin?). (c. 1260-70.)

Somerleyton. Grant of various pieces of land and the messuage called Sextens by [Simon son of Richard Hacon, alias Crystemasse] to John Hervy, William Carre, Robert Stanton, Richard Love, dated at Somerleyton (Somerleton), 12 October, 21 Hen. VII (1505). [In part effaced and illegible, see MS. Ch. Sussex 1138.]

Somerleyton. Sir John Wentworth of Somerleyton (Somerleton), kt., demises to Arthur Bacon a piece of land and turbary in ... at an annual rent of 6d.; and appoints James Aldrich, clerk, and John Martyn his attorneys for the giving peaceable possession of the same. Dated 8 August, 1644. [Mutilated and partly effaced.]
