MENDHAM, METTFIELD, and HARLESTON, co. NORFOLK, and WICKHAM SKEYTH, co. SUFFOLK. An exemplification of a fine levied Hilary term, 15 Elizabeth, by which Richard Western, gent., Martin Calthorp, gent., and Joan his wife, in consideration of the receipt of £600, convey land, &c. in Mendham, Mettfeld, and Harleston, with the advowson of the church of Mendham, and the manor and advowson of Wickham Skeyth, to Ed. Indenture made 7 December, 3 Charles II (1662), that Thomas Freston of Mendham, in consideration of the receipt of £7. 3s. 3d., and an after-payment of £500, releases and confirms to Richard Freston of Mendham, esq., the tithes of the parishes of Mendham, Metfield, and Needham (Nedham) appertayning to the late dissolved monastery of Mendham.
