VIII (1534), by which John Lavyle and Rose his wife, late wife of John Lampet in consideration of marriage to be solemnised between William Lavyle, son and heir of the said John, and Katherine Lampet, daughter of the said John Lambert and the said Rose, enfeoffs them with lands &c. in Gorleston-on-Sea (Gorleston), Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), and Corton (Gorton), in co. Suffolk.

Ralph Parker and Margaret his wife one of the daugters of John Appleton grant to Herman and Cecilia his wife a tenement with a croft called Sheeres in Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated at Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), 10 November, 8 Elizabeth (1566).

John ... and Alice his wife grant to George Farby (?) a tenement with an inclosure in Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated at Hopton St Margaret (Hopton) .. April 17 Elizabeth. [Partly obliterated.]

John Carpenter of Hopton St Margaret (Hopton) sells to sir John Wentworth, kt., all his right in a tenement, with a croft adjacent, lying in Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated [day left blank] January, 7 Charles I.

Indenture made 17 Charles II, by which the 4 July, dean and chapter of Norwich demise to William Lockier of the precincts of the cathedral, notary public, their rectory, churchyard, glebe, and tithes of Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), for 21 years, at an annual rent of 53s. 4d., and certain wheat and malt.

George de Felbrigge, John de Wolterton, clerk, John de Theluetham and Walter Wyot, clerck and others grant to John de Herlyngges all right which they have in one messuage and certain rents and tenements in the villages of Lound, Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), &c., together with the advowson of the church of Lound. Dated at East Harling (Estherlyngges) the Monday next after the feast of the Translation of St. Thomas the martyr, 49 Ed. III.

John Gounton of Lound grants to John Ayldre of Herringfleet (Heryngflet) Roger Phymour and Stephen Key all his tenements &c. in Lound, Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), and Ashby (Askeby). Dated at Lound, 20 Nov., 1 Hen. IV (1399).

Stephen Key of Lound appoints Robert his son his attorney to deliver to Thomas Gunton, son of the late John Gunton and 8 others seisin of all his lands in Lound, Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), and Ashby (Askeby), which he, with John Ayldre and Roger Prysnour, deceased, had from the said John Gunton. Dated at Lound, 31 March, 11 Hen. VI (1433).

Stephen Keye of Lound grants to Thomas Gunton, son of John Gunton of Lound, and others ( John Donewold, etc.) all those lands &c. in Lound, Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), and Ashby (Askeby) which he together with John Ayldre and Roger Prymour both deceased had by the gift of the said John Gunton. John Donewold of Lowestoft (Lowystoft) and others remit and quit-claim to Thomas Gunton of Lound all their right in lands and tenements in Lound, Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), and Ashby (Askeby). Dated at Lound, 2 June, 11 Hen. VI (1433).

Thomas Spycer of Lowestoft (Lowystoft) grants to Thomas Jecks, husbandman, all his lands and tenements in Lound and Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated at Lound, 16 January 3 Ed. II.

Katherine Jernegan, widow, late wife of John Jernegau, sells to John Wentworth the whole of the manor of Stalham's in Lound (Stalhams) in Lound (Lownde), with the advowson of the church of Lound (Lownde), also all lands belonging to the said manor situated within the parishes of Blundeston, Herringfleet (Heryngfleete), and Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated and signed, 22 May, 41 Elizabeth (1599).
