Indenture by which Thomas Asshford, citizen and woodmonger of London, lets to farm to Robert Crane of Great Waldingfield (Great Waldingfeld) certain pastures, services, &c. in Great Waldingfield (Moche Waldingfeld), Chilton, and Acton. Dated 4 June, 22 Ed. IV (1482).

John Herte, the elder, of Waldringfield (Waldryngfeld) sells to William Lambe all the house and lands and cattle which the said John holdeth in Waldringfield (Waldryngfeld); for provision of meat, drink and clothing for him and his wife for thier lives and remission of a debt of 20s. [Temp. Hen. VII.]

Indenture dated 24 Jan., 12 Hen. VIII (1521), witnesseth that John Syday of Great Waldingfield (Waldyngfeld the More), laborer, having borrowed of Robert Crane of Chilton, esq., 40s. to be paid at the feast of All Saints next, binds himself and his heirs, in case of default, to make over to the said Robert his house in Great Waldingfield or Little Waldingfield (Waldyngfeld).

Indenture dated 16 Sept., 24 Hen. VIII, witnesseth that Robert Rudlond of East Mersea and West Mersea (Marsey, Essex), hath bargained and sold to Richard Dogett and Edmond Tod lands, pastures, and woods called Wombysley in Great Waldingfield (Great Waldyngfeld). [Much rubbed.]

Indenture made 20 January, .. Hen. VIII, between John Innold of Sudbury of the one part and Robert Crane of the other, witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of £20 the said John sells to the said Robert certain land in Great Waldingfield (Great Waldingfeld). [Nearly effaced.]

Indenture made 1 September, 34 Hen. VIII (1542), by which Robert Crane of Chilton, in consideration of the receipt of £32, grants to John Wyncoll of Little Waldingfield (Little Waldingfeld) a messuage, &c. in Great Waldingfield (Great Waldingfeld).

Indenture made 1 August, 37 Hen. VIII (1545), by which John Innold, in consideration of the receipt of £8, sells to Robert Crane of Chilton his lands, tenements, &c. in Great Waldingfield (Moche Waldingfeld).

Copy on paper of a lease made 15 April, 7 Ed. VI (1553), by which Robert Crane of Chilton, esq., grants to John Kendall of Great Waldingfield (Moche Waldingfeld), clothmaker, a close and croft in Great Waldingfield (Great Waldingfeld) for 10 years at an annual rent of 53s. 4d.

Indenture made 7 December, 3 Edward VI (1549), by which Edward Colman of Great Waldingfield or Little Waldingfield (Waldingfeld), gent., for certain considerations, sells unto William Cordell of Long Melford, gent., certain houses and lands lying in Great Waldingfield (Great Waldingfeld ) and Little Waldingfield (Little Waldingfeld) and Edwardstone (Edwardeston). Endorsed with a memorandum of payment of £200, 23 Nov. 4 Edw. VI.

Indenture dated 28 November, 3 and 4 of Philip and Mary (1556), by which Robert Crane of Chilton, lessee of lands under the seal of the dissolved house of Crutched Friars, London, demises to James (?) of Great Waldingfield (Moche Waldingfeld) a piece of pasture and wood in Great Waldingfield (Moche Waldyngfeld).
