Gerard, son of Arnold de Stanham, chaplain, grants to the church and canons of the Holy Trinity, Ipswich (Gipewic'), in frankalmoigne, the whole of his land with messuage and wood and appurtenances in Cretinge and Stanham of the fee of the monks of Bernay, and the whole of his land in Cretinge and Crowfield (Croffeld) which he held of Randulf de Braham, and the whole of his land which he held of Gregory Gleau in Crowfield (Croffeld) and in Coddenham (Codeham), and the whole of his land in Coddenham (Codeham), Crowfield (Croffeld), and Bosmere-and-Claydon Hundred (Bosemere) of the fee of the monks of Eya, paying annually 6d.; for this grant the said canons gave 20 marks of silver. Indenture made between the prior of the Holy Trinity, Gipp', and the convent, of the one part, and William Crane of Creeting St Mary (Creting St. Mary) of the other, witnesseth that the said prior and convent have granted to farm to the said William all their lands, tenements, &c. in the villages of Creeting St Mary (Creting St. Mary), Creeting All Saints (Creting All Saints), Creeting St Olave (Creting St. Olave), Earl Stonham (Stonham Earl), Stonham Aspal (Stonham Antegan), Coddenham (Codenham), and Crowfield (Creffeld), for 12 years, paying annually six marks of silver. Dated the Sunday next after the feast of St. Michael, 21 Rich. II (30 Sept. 1397).

Richard de Burghstede, parson of Framlingham at the Castle (Framelingham at the Castter), grants to Edmund de St. Clauo, son and heir of John de St. Clauo, and Agnes his wife, all his lands, rents, &c. in the villages of Coddenham (Codenham), Crowfield (Croffeld), Creeting St Mary (Creeting St. Mary), Creeting All Saints, Creeting St Olave (Creeting St. Olave), Earl Stonham (Stonham Earls), Stonham Aspal (Stonham Antegaine), and Little Stonham (Stonham Gernegan). Dated at Coddenham (Codenham) the Sunday after the feast of All Saints, 11 Ed. III (2 Nov. 1337). (Clauo: see MS. Ch. Suffolk 522b, his name occurs frequntly. On 522b and in 635 the name is clearly written "Clavo". In many other deeds it is very uncertain.)

John del Wode, chaplain, grants to William, perpetual vicar of Rushmere St Andrew (Resshemere), and Hamo Dike of Wixoe (Wedekishe), chaplain, all lands and tenements he has in the villages of Coddenham (Codenham) and Stonham Aspal (Stonham Antegan), and the hamlet of Crowfield (Croffeld). Dated at Coddenham (Codenham) the Friday next after the feast of St. Martin 15 Ed. III (16 Nov. 1341).

Thomas Aldham and John Styward demise to Roger Fathare of Coddenham (Codenham) their tenement called Thedewares and all their other lands &c. in Coddenham (Codenham), Creeting St Mary (Creeting St. Mary), Creeting St Olave (St. Olave) and Creeting All Saints (All Saints), and Crowfield (Croffeld), which they, with others, had by feoffment of Robert Dennys, rector of ..., excepting the tenements called Spakes, Besauntes, and Haselyngfeldis. Dated at Coddenham (Codenham), 6 July 9 Hen. IV (1408).

Sir George Fylbrygge, kt., William Wallere and William Petystre remit and quit-claim to Robert Dennys, rector of Shottisham (Schatesham), all their right and claim in all lands, rents, and services in the villages of Coddenham (Codenham), Creeting St Mary (Creeting St. Mary), Creeting All Saints, Creeting St Olave (Creeting St. Olave), and Crowfield (Croffeld). Dated 26 July, 3 Hen. V (1415).

Henry Wilbockys, John Hacon, and others demise to sir Humphrey Wingfeld, kt., and others 18 messuages and certain land in the villages of Coddenham (Codenham), Creeting St Mary (Cretyng St. Mary), Creeting All Saints (Cretyng All Saints), Creeting St Olave (Cretyng St. Olave), Crowfield (Crowfeld) and Gosbeck (Gosbacke). Dated 1 [March?] 25 Henry VIII (1534).

VIII (1546), by which John Suthwell of Darsham (Darham in the co. of Suffolk), esq., sells to Robert Crane of Chilton (Chilton in the co. of Suffolk), for £392 9s. 10d., his lands, messuages, &c. in the parishes of Coddenham (Codenham), Creeting St Mary (Creeting St. Mary), Creeting All Saints, Creeting St Olave (Creeting St. Olave), Crowfield (Crowfeld), Gosbeck (Gosbach) and Hemingstone (Edmyngston).
