An acknowledgment by Gifferd de Vezana, canon of Cambray, nuncio of the Pope, has received of the abbot and convent of Oseney, by the hands of Hugh de Cumpton , £8 sterling from the tenth of Towcester, for the first 3 of the six years in which the tenth was granted as a subsidy for the Holy Land to Pope Boniface when he held the said church as cardinal; according to an account by the bishop of Lincoln of the sum of £584 11s. 11 3/4d, as contained in Ch. 27. Dated 14 Kl. Aug., 1299.
