Eighteen letters (inrolled) concerning the affairs of the monastery of St. Bennet of Hulme for the most part to and from abbot William , bishop William of Norwich , and archbp. Theobald . On the reverse is a Latin glossary, A to F, of some words, chiefly of ecclesiastical use. [Written circa 1150-60.] One letter is a complaint against Amfred Butteturte for unjust appropriation of advowson etc. of the five churches of Castre; another, a complaint of the abbot and Roger de Valanes against Aveline wife of H. de Ri for removing the church of St. Helen at Randeworth to another site. Seven other documents relate to Ranworth.
