This collection consists of the papers of F. Tyrwhitt-Drake, of Shardeloes, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, from the 16th to 19th century. The papers were deposited in 1956.
They are catalogued under the following shelfmarks: MSS. D.D. Tyrwhitt-Drake a. 1, c. 1-3.
Included in this catalogue is the following material: papers relating to the Garsington estate, Oxfordshire, 1515-1847, chiefly 18th century, when it belonged to the Wickham family, including two maps of the parish of Garsington, late 17th century, also legal papers and manorial documents; other Oxfordshire estate papers, mostly relating to Finmere, 1550-early 19th century, and papers relating to the execution of the will of Dr John Radcliffe, of which William Drake became a trustee in 1759, 1715-95.
