An indenture by which John Jernegan and Katherine his wife of Somerleyton demise to James Towne of Lound (Lownde) a tenement called Guntons, containing 15 acres, for 77 years, at an annual rent of 56s. 2d. Dated 20 October, 16 Elizabeth (1574).

Indenture of agreement made 8 April, 23 Elizabeth (1581), made between Roger Castell, esq., to sir Will. Brook, lord Cobham, John Brooke alias Cobham, his brother, and Edmund Bedingfield, esq. by which R. Castell undertakes to infeoff the said John Brooke alias Cobham and others, of and in the manor of Stalham's in Lound (Stallams) in Lound (Lownd), and of and in the advowson of the parish church of Lound (Lownd), with all lands and tenements in Lound (Lownd), and in Blundeston, Herringfleet (Heringflete), and Hopton St Margaret (Hopton), which were of the inheritance of one John Jernegan of Somerleyton, to hold the same to the use of Katherine, wife of the said John Jernegan, for her life, and at her decease for the use of the daughters of the said John. Katherine Jernegan, widow, late wife of John Jernegau, sells to John Wentworth the whole of the manor of Stalham's in Lound (Stalhams) in Lound (Lownde), with the advowson of the church of Lound (Lownde), also all lands belonging to the said manor situated within the parishes of Blundeston, Herringfleet (Heryngfleete), and Hopton St Margaret (Hopton). Dated and signed, 22 May, 41 Elizabeth (1599).

Katherine Jernegan, widow of John Jernegan of Somerleyton (Somerleton), in consideration of a certain sum of money in hand paid, confirms to John Wentworth, son and heir apparent of John Wentworth, esq., the whole of her messuage, lauds, &c. in Lound (Lounde), late in the occupation of James Towne. Dated (and signed) 22 May, 41 Elizabeth (1599).

John Wentworth of Somerleyton (Somerleton) discharges Katherine Jernegan, widow of John Jernegan of Somerleyton (Somerleton), from all suits during her life upon a bond given for the performance of certain covenants by her third daughter Katherine wife of Wymond Carey, esq. respecting the manor called Stalham's in Lound (Stalhams in Lound).
