FOUNTAIN'S (ABBEY). Martin Birkhed of Cotyngham and John West of Beiston , for a sum of £54 4s. 4d., sell to John Bekwith a messuage and two closes of land in Pathlobrigge, co. York, part of the monastery of Fountains. Dated 5 April, 4 Q. Eliz. .

Indenture made 13 Feb., 30 Hen. VIII, between Robert, the prior, and the convent of St. Oswald of the Nostell of the one part, and Roger Malet, gentleman, of the other part, witnesseth that the said prior and convent have let to the said Roger all their tithes of corn and hay within the town of Wrangbrokeve for 31 years, paying annually for the same £6 10s.

BOLTON. Indenture dated 8 May, 22 Hen. VIII, by which William Golthropp of Schepley, gent. and Thomas Golthropp his cousin and heir and Alys his wife demise to Roger Hanson of Derfelde, yeoman a close with two leys, 9 acres of arable land and one acre of meadow in Bolton, for 14 years, paying annually 14s.

CALVERLEY. John Symson of Pudsey, son and heir of William Symson , late of the same, grants and quit-claims to Robert Symson his brother all his messuages, lands, and tenements, within the parish of Calverley. Dated at Pudsey, 22 Oct., 4 Hen. VIII.

Indenture of lease by Isabell of Crofte, prioress of Wallingwellez (Notts.) to George Hastynges, esq. lord of Fenwyk , of all the tithes etc. of the manor and town of Fenwyk, for the term of their joint lives at an annual rent of £3. 30 June, 23 Henry VII. Richard Clapeham, gent., William Brerehagh , Christ. Pykard , and William Roods grant to Percival Brerehagh and Joan his wife one tenement with land and meadow in Menston [as in MS. Ch. Yorks. 247] Dated 7 March, 14 Hen. VIII.

Inquisition taken on the death of Robert Tailler son and heir of John Tailler at Rothwell, dated 7 April 3 Elizabeth. Held lands at Lofthouse in Rothwele, for which he paid 10s. yearly to two almshouses at Leeds. His heirs are his three sisters, Sibella, Elizabeth and Margaret).

BRAMLEY and HEDINGLEY. Letters patent of Queen Elizabeth , dated at Westminster, 1 April, 34 of her reign, granting to John Savile and Thomas Hynchclyffe for 13s. 4d. a licence of alienation of 23 acres of certain lands in Bramley and Hedingley to Robert Walshe and Robert Crowther . [Mutilated.]

Letters patent dated at Walden, 1 September, 35 Hen. VIII, granting in consideration of a sum of 21s. a licence of alienation to Richard Andrewes, gent. and William Romsden, of Longley, yeoman for property in Wakefeld, formerly belonging to the monastery of Monkebretton, to Richard Fymone, mercer.
