MAYDEN BRADLEY, Wilts. Indenture made 6 Feb., 26 Hen. VIII, by which Richard Rydge, the abbot, and convent of Notteley lease to William Radisshe of Maydenbradley, co. Wilts. , and his two sons, the parsonage of Mayden Bradley, with appurtenances and tithes, fruits, and offerings from the feast of St. John the Baptist, for 41 years next ensuing, at an annual rent of £16.

Composition before the bishop of Salisbury between John Whyte, warden of Winchester College , and the fellows of the same, proprietors of the church of Downton, Sarum diocese, and Ralph Lane, vicar of Downton of the one part, and William Grrene, esq., lord of the manor of Stanlynch , of the other part, by which the manor of Stanlynch is charged for tithes of £3 6s. 8d. to Winchester College, and £1 to the vicar of Downton, the rest of the tithes being assigned to manor for the time being. Dated, Salisbury 8 October, 1549.
