FAKENHAM, &c. An exemplification of a recovery inrolled Easter term, 20 and 21 Henry VIII, Roll 104, by which Richard Candysshe, William Latymer, John Valentyne, Robert Goodwyn, and Robert Dobet impleaded Robert Brounde concerning the manors of Payton hall, Russells (Russells in Fakenham), and Russells (Russells in Chesylford), with appurtenances, and likewise certain land, brushwood, rent, &c. in Falkenham (Fakenham), Chillesford (Chesylford), Bawdsey (Bewedesey), Alderton, Sutton, Shottisham (Shatesham), Kirton (Kyrton), Walton, Orford, Whavensden, Sudbourne (Sudborn), Rampfold, and Ipswich. Dated at Westminster, 28 April, 21 Henry VIII (1529).

Record of a fine dated 1 July by which Thomas, duke of Norfolk and Elizabeth his wife convey to the dean and chapter of the college of Thomas Wolsey, Cardinal of York, the manors of Dodnesh and Falkenham, 3 water-mills, 40 messuages, 1000 acres of land, 100 acres of meadow, 100 acres of wood, 40 acres of pasture, 200 acres of marsh, and 100/- rent, in Dodnesh, Falkenham [East], Bergholte, Capell [Capel S.
