Letter from Walter, bishop of Lichfield and Coventry, acknowledging a voluntary gift for 60s. of the church of Schenestan by Roger Marischal canon of Lichfield and renouncing for himself and his successors any right to claim in consequence any like payment from the abbot and convent of Oseney. Dated at Eccleshal, 3 Non. July, 1319.

An acquittance given to Oseney by the abbot and convent of Burton, sub-collectors of the 10ths, for 6s. due from the church of Shenston. Dated Kl. June, 1330. [Mutilated.] .

An acquittance from the dean and chapter of Lichfield for 16s. 8d., paid by Oseney for their church of Shenston, for the tenth granted by Pope John XXII to the King for the defence of the kingdom. Dated the Friday next after the feast of St. Matthias, 1322.

John de Depynge, canon of Lichfield , and Roger de Denford, vicar in the same, collectors of the procurations of the papal nuncios, the cardinals Peter and Bertrard, acknowledge to have received of the abbot and convent of Oseney for Shenston 8s. 4d., and for temporalities in the archdeaconry of Stafford 3s. 3d. Dated at Lichfield the Wednesday next after the feast of the beheading of St. John Bapt., 1340.

An acquittance given by the abbot and convent of Burton, subcollectors of the tenths imposed by Pope John XXII, for the archdeaconries of Stafford, Salop, Chester, and Derby, to the abbot and convent of Oseney, for the payment of 16s. 8d. for their church of Shenston. Dated at Burton the Thursday before the feast of St. Martin, 1330.

Indenture whereby Thomas, the abbot, and convent of Oseney, lease to Gilbert de Teddesleye and Felicia his wife, and their sons John and Thomas , for their leases, that forge and messuage which William de Sardone held at their will in Thornes and Stonhale, paying annually 8d. sterling. Dated at Oseney on the feast of SS. Simon and Jude, 14 Ed. III.

An inspeximus by John, dean of Lichfield, of a document confirming the church of Shenstone to belong to Oseney. Dated the vigil of the Assumption, 1303.

A verdict about common in Stonnall. Aug. 24, 1304.

The Dean and chapter of Lichfield, subcollectors of the tenth, have received from Osney Abbey for half the said tenth, 16/8 for the church of Schendstone, and 6/6¾ for the temporalities in the Archdeaconry of Staffordshire. Given at Lichfield. ⟨5 Nov.⟩ 1320.

The abbot of Burton-on-Trent, subcollector of the tenth in the Archdeaconry of Chester, Derby, Shrewsbury and Stafford, has received 16/8 from Osney Abbey for the church of Schenstone, and 6/8¾ for their temporalities in the Archdeaconry of Stafford, for the second term of the third year of the said tenth. Given at Burton. ⟨29 Sept.⟩ 1332.
