Grant from Robert de Marmium to the church and monks of St. Mary of Kyrkestede, the whole half of the land which Adelsi, son of Bern, and Asketin, son of Od, his nephew, held of his predecessors, or of the said Robert in Ruchtuna, viz. 6 bovates of land, with all the benefits of their works, and buildings, mills, etc., and all other easements; with the wood of Torntun and paying annually to him and his heirs 30s. He grants all this with the free will of Adelsi's nephew, Robert Calf, and his brother Asketin, and and their mother Ingerida. Dated at Luda.

Letter. France (country). [temp. John] (1216). . Letter to King John from G[eoffrey] de Lucy containing information of affairs in France received by him on [...] day: concerning the custody by Sir Rob. de Purneham of the castle "de Miuntiniaco", the imprisonment of Helias de Sunewelle, and other matters concerning the Count de la Marche and other enemies of the king in Poitou; the comte de Eu, vicomte de Chasteleraud, Sir Savarie de Malo Leone, etc.

Confirmation. Newhouse, abbey of Premonstratensian canons. [c. 1150-1168] (1168). . Confirmation by William de Lamara and Beatrice his mother, to Robert, bp. of Lincoln, of the gift of Adam, son of Hervey de Kiringtune, to the church and brethren of St. Martial of Neuhus, in frankalmoigne, of the toft Gunne Wate aud two bovates of land in Kirningtune, of the fee which the said William holds of the earl of Richemund; for the soul of Alan, father of the said William and uncle of Adam [25 witnesses].

Grant. Pickwell (Lincolnshire). [c. 1180-1186] (1186). . Grant from Helias, parson of the church of Pikehale, grants to the house of St. Mary of Charity of Swanebi, situated in his parish of Pikehale, that it may have a cemetery and chantry, so much as pertains to the brethren of the order there serving God, saving the rights of the mother church. Witnesses: Chief Justice Ran. de Glanville, Godfrey de Luci, Joscelin, archdeacon of Chichester, and Will. Wavas[or], then justices at York.

Register, grant. York, Benedictine abbey of St. Mary. [1174-78] (1178). . Leaf from a register book belonging to the abbey of St. Mary, York, with entries of several evidences, including: (e) Hameline, earl Warren, grants to the abbey of St. Mary, York, 30 "breisnas" (breams) and 3 "lupos" (pikes) yearly. Grant. Bullington, Gilbertine priory. 12th century (1200). . Grant from Agnes, wife of Herbert, son of Adelard, to the church of St. Mary, Bolyngdon, and the brethren there, one small carucate of land in Suth Feriby, and one toft in the same village of the fee of Bartumere, and a donation of half the church; which land she bought of her husband for 15 marks, which she now gives to the church which her father Symon founded. Dated in their chapter-house of Sixhill (copy in the late 14th century of a 12th century deed).

Fine. Bruern, Cistercian abbey. 3 Rich. I (1192). . Fine made between the abbot and convent of Bruer', plaintiffs, and Juliana de Caudr', defendant, appearing by her husband, William de Mandevill, concerning 104 acres of land, a meadow, etc., in Cercell [Churchill, Oxfordshire], which the said Juliana gives in frankalmoigne, in exchange for a carucate which the abbot claimed of her in the same village, the abbot giving also ten marks. (mutilated, copy, probably written about 1250)

Certificate. Alcester, Benedictine abbey. [1158-1159] (1159). . Certificate of T[heobald], archbishop of Canterbury, after consultation with other bishops and in the presence of Robert, Earl of Legre[cestre], the founder of the abbey, that the monks of Alencester have the right of free election of their abbot, (being the prior) against the claim of A[lured], the bishop and monks of Worcester, who withdrew their alleged claim. Leaf from a closely-written chartulary of the abbey of Bellalanda, containing copies of documents, mostly barely legible, including: (b) Symon, son of Henry de Deneby, grants with the consent of his brother Jordan to the abbey of Bellalanda one carucate of land in Deneby [Denby] which Henry his father gave to him; paying annually two shillings. [1190 x 1198]

Confirmation. Bridlington, Augustinian priory. c. 1135-1140.. Confirmation by Thurstan, archbishop of York, of the agreement made between the church of Beverley and the canons of Bridlington, touching the alms of 2 thraves or 2d. yearly from each (working) plough in every town in the parishes of Bridlington and Hunmanby.

Grant. Bullington, Gilbertine priory. second half of the 12th century (1200). . Grant from Roger de Benyngwade to the prioress and nuns of Bolyngton, of the order of Sempyngham, the mill upon the water called [Beyne] with its appurtenances. [Copy, slightly mutilated and partly effaced.] Copy in the late 14th century of a charter of the latter half of the 12th century.

Ledger, grant in frankalmoigne. York, Benedictine abbey of St. Mary. [temp. Ed. I] (1307). . Nine leaves from an old ledger book of the church of St. Mary, York (formerly in Hatton library), of which the last four, written by a second hand, are numbered by a 15th cent. hand, 55, 56, 59, 60, having several grants entered upon them, including: (nn) Grant by Nigel Fossard to the monks of St. Mary’s, York, of the church of St. Crux in York, the church of Doncaster and 16 messuages there, 1 carucate in Kymundesale (in Loversall ?), 5 bovates of land in Marr, 1 carucate in Warmsworth, 2 carucates in West Cottingwith, the church of Hutton Cranswick with 1 carucate, 3 carucates in Thornton-le-Clay and the church of Bainton with 1 carucate and its tithes, the grantor’s tithes in and around Doncaster and 4 carucates of land in Caythorpe, c. 1100-1115.
