Appointment. Little Weldon (Northamptonshire). 41 Eliz. I. July 13, 1599. Indenture made between (1) Sir John Stanhopp, Treasurer of Her Highnes' Chamber, Chief Post Master of England, and one of Her Majesty's Privy Chamber, and (2) Pexall Brocas of Steventon, Hampshire, esq., Master of Her Majesty's Buckhounds, reciting the title of Sir Bernard Brocas, temp. Edw. III, to the manor of Little Weldon alias Hunters manor and the bailiwick and keeping of the King's buckhounds, in Northamptonshire, with the wages and perquisites of that office, in which Pexall Brocas appoints Stanhopp as his deputy as Master of the Buckhounds for a limited period (25 July-14 Sept 1599).
