Appointment of attorney. Fonthill Gifford (Wiltshire), Coleman's (Wiltshire). 17 Ric. II. Dec. 20, 1393. Appointment by Sir Bernard Brocas, senior, of John Lundon as his attorney to receive an annual payment of £10 assigned to him and his heirs on the manor of Fountell Giffard, and on Colmansland within the lordship and hundred of Knoel Episcopi [East Knoyle, now part of Downton hundred], by four persons, John Joce, Edmund Culak and Thomas Blake, chaplain, and John Payn, chaplain (lately deceased), who had received the land from John Inge or Ynge.
