Confirmation. Roche Court (Hampshire). 3 William and Mary. Aug. 10, 1691. Indenture tripartite made between (1) Dame Jane Gardiner of Roch Court, Hampshire, widow; (2) Sir Brocas Gardiner of the Inner Temple, London, baronet, son and heir apparent of Dame Jane, and (3) Barnard Gardiner, fellow of All Souls College, University of Oxford, gent., being a release by (1) to (2) of the manor of Northfareham otherwise Rochcourt, Hampshire, Sir Brocas Gardiner to pay Dame Jane £95 per annum for life from the issues of the manor, and to pay Barnard Gardiner £25 per annum for life, during the life of Dame Jane and Jane Thorner of St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, widow and grandmother of Barnard Gardiner, if they live so long (endorsed with two memoranda: 1. Agreement between the parties to contribute to costs at law incurred by Sir Brocas Gardiner regarding recovery of rent and maintenance of the manor; 2. Agreement dated 7 June 1693 made between Sir Brocas Gardiner and David Moris of Lambeth, Surrey, to whom Dame Jane was then married, that Sir Brocas Gardiner would pay all taxes assessed on the £95 payable to Dame Jane under the Act of Parliament for granting to their Majesties an Aide of 4s in the pound for one year for Carrying on a Vigorous War against France [granted 20 March 1693 or later] or any other Act hereafter, signed and sealed by David Moris and Jane Gardiner. .
