Confirmation. Roche Court (Hampshire). 1656, Aug. 8. Indenture of eight parts made between (1) Adiell Baynard of Basingstoke, Hampshire, gent., (2) Sir Robert Wingfeild of London, and (3) Oliver Brocas of North Farham alias Rochcourt, Hampshire; (4) Richard Brocas of St. Paul's Covent Garden, London, gent., (5) John Brocas gent., brother of Oliver and Richard Brocas; (6) Elizabeth Walden of St. George's, Southwark, widdow, one of the sisters of Oliver and Richard; (7) Prudence Brocas, of St. George's, Southwark, another of the sisters of Oliver and Richard, and (8) Thomas Brocas, gent., younger nephew of Oliver and Richard, son of their brother Thomas Brocas, deceased, being a confirmation from (1) to (2) of the manor of North Fareham otherwise Roch Court with messuages and lands [details given] in the parishes of North Farham, South Farham and Wickham, Hampshire; with annuities to (4)-(8) (signed and sealed by Adiel Baynard and sealed by six others, but apparently, no seals attached and no other signatures appear) (endorsed: Conveyance of Rochcourt of 8 parts) (the part of John Brocas).
