Ledger, grant in frankalmoigne. York, Benedictine abbey of St. Mary. [temp. Ed. I] (1307). . Nine leaves from an old ledger book of the church of St. Mary, York (formerly in Hatton library), of which the last four, written by a second hand, are numbered by a 15th cent. hand, 55, 56, 59, 60, having several grants entered upon them, including: (w) Alan de Folifeld with the consent of Juetta his wife grants to the abbey of St. Mary, York, in frankalmoigne, one "mansura" in Lemyng and a croft adjacent, containing 2 1/2 acres; being that land which Hugh Fannel sometime held in Lemyng, and which Guihumar, the grandfather of Juetta, gave to the said abbey.
