Demise. Overton (Market) m (Rutland) (manor). 30 June, 9 Ed. IV (1469). . Demise by John, earl of Oxford, and Peter Baxter, clerk, to Sir John Say, kt., and Thomas Prowet, clerk, their manor of Marketoverton with appurtenances in the county of Rutland, with the advowson of the church and all other lands, tenements, etc., which they had conjointly with George, archbishop of York, John Walter, clerk, and William Staveley, esq., by feoffment of Thomas Mountgomery, knt., and Richard Fowler; and John Bothebroke, clerk, and Thomas Braughyng, gent., are appointed attorneys to deliver seisin of the same.
