Convention. Leicester, Augustinian abbey. Feast of St. Mildrith [13 July], 1217 (1217). . Convention (heading torn away) made in settlement of a dispute between the late earl of Lincoln, William, and the late Robert, earl of Leicester [before 1200?], the abbot and convent of the monastery of Leicester of the one part, and the church of Lincoln of the other, by which the manor of Knihteton in the suburb of Leicester is assigned to Lincoln, and the land of Sedgrave with the homage of Stephen de Sedgrave and the mills of Effordeby are granted to the abbey. Witness: Ralph the parson of Effordeby, amongst many others.
