Writ. Langton Matravers (Dorset) (manor). 8 June, 6 Ric. II (1383). . Writ from King Richard II, dated at Westminster, 8 June, 6th of his reign, to the sheriff of the counties Somerset and Dorset, commanding him to distrain John Fillol and Margaret his wife, late wife of Adam de Seydon, daughter and heir of Roger le Walssh, and Joan his wife, for all their lands and chatels in his bailiwick, and to answer for the same to the exchequer ; also to cite them before the barons of the exchequer, to answer to the king for their relief concerning one toft, with appurtenances within the manor of Langton Purbyk, held by the said Roger when he died of K. Ed. III, in capite, by knights service.
