Letters patent of Humfraye Cumberforthe, gentleman, son and heir of the late Thomas C⟨umberforthe⟩ , gentleman, Whereas Roland Hill granted to Sir Thomas Pope the rent of £29 arising out of the manors of W⟨igginton⟩ &c., 24 messuages, a water-mill, 1000 acres of land, 120 acres of meadow, 200 acres of pasture, 5 acres of woode, 160 acres of ‘Furres and Hethe’, and £16 rent for fishing rights in the water of Tame, in W⟨igginton⟩ , Hoppas, C⟨umberford⟩ , Cotton, and Tamworth, of which rents H. C. is now owner, H. C. now confirms them to Sir Thomas Pope. 31 May ⟨1541.⟩
