Indenture between Rolande Hill, citizen and mercer of London , and Sir Thomas Pope, kt., witnessing that whereas the late G⟨eorge⟩ N⟨evile⟩ lord of B⟨ergevenny⟩ , by an indenture, dated 2nd Nov. 25 Hen. VIII, between him and the said R. H. reciting that whereas the said Lord B. had received the rent of £29 of the grant of John Fitz-James, Lord Chief Justice, Anthony Babyngton, kt., Rouland Babyngton, gentleman, William Whethalle and Edmonde Toumer of Hythefelde , and now granted it to R. H., by this indenture R. H. grants it to Sir Thomas Pope , for £580. 6 May ⟨1541.⟩ R. H. is bound in 1000 marks to observe this. (Bond and indenture both signed by R. H.) Enrolled in Chancery on May 11th.
