Grant by the mayor &c. of Oxford to Henry VIII of (i) a garden now held by John Hore , about a rood of land, lying near ‘King Henry Theights Colledge’, (ii) a piece of meadow called Shrelake, in the meadow called Fryswith’ Meade, (iii) a garden lying by the King’s Alms House, (iv) a garden occupied by Vynehall or Pecwater’s Inn, (v) a house called Jure Schole or Cyvyll Schole, (vi) a little garden held by Canterbury College, (vii) a toft in which was built a tower late of S. Michael’s at the Suth Gate, (viii) a tenement and garden in the parish of S. Michael’s at the South Gate. All of which are now held by the said College, and lie within or hard by the circuit and precincts of the College. 10 Oct. ⟨1546.⟩ ]
