A note of a lease made by John, abbot &c. of Vale Royal , to Sir Richard Houghton, kt., of the lands and tithes [not specified, but probably of Frodsham, Kirkham, and Runcorn.] mentioned in James Vosterdynes (?) lease, for 41 years. Rent: £8/10/-. 11 June 1531. And a note, referring to the above, ‘delivered unto us in the presence of witnesses, by Mr. Thurston Tylsky of Merstone ,’ who certified it to be true.
