Oxford.. Indenture by which Adam son of Laurence Bernard grants to William de Lecchelade of Oxford , and Rose his wife, a rent of 4/- from a tenement which Thomas de Orlyens holds in St. Michael’s, south, near le Schelvyngstole, lying between the prior of St. F⟨rideswide⟩ ’s tenement on the east, and that of Peter son of John on the west, for which they may distrain, and if they cannot distrain upon the said tenement, they may enter Adam’s house, which is between the tenement late of Geoffrey le orfevere , on the north, and Trillemille stream on the south. Witnesses: Henry Oweyn, mayor, William de Wodestone and Andrew Culvert , bailiffs, Philip de Ow , John de Ow , Ralph le Plomer , Richard de Mertone . Given at Oxford. ⟨9 Aug. 1292.⟩
