Indenture by which Richard, abbot of Tewkesbury leases to William Warde, lately of Everton (Gloucs.) , Margery his wife, and William and Thomas their sons, the manor of Little Compton, with certain lands called Byllandis, and a close called Taylershay, from the feast of the Annunciation last past for 40 years, if any of them shall live as long. Rent: £5/6/8. They are bound to the abbot in a bond of £20, of the same date, to keep the agreement. Given at Tewkesbury, in the chapter-house. 19 Sept. ⟨1438.⟩
