Wallingford and Clapcote.. Robert Haward of W⟨allingford⟩, and Magote his wife, grant to master Geoffrey Prentys , John Kyng, chaplain, Richard Wysebeche , and John Herdyngtone, clerk, a messuage and garden in All Saints’, between Hunstrete on the north and a croft called le Komynger late of Robert James on the south, one end abutting on the high way opposite the castle towards the east, the other abutting on the said croft towards the west, which the grantors had of the gift of William Noke, rector of S. Peter’s, W⟨allingford⟩ , and Ralph Horsyngtone , clerk. Witnesses: John Derby, mayor, John Coterelle , William Amyat , Richard Horlok , aldermen, Robert Defhunt , Robert Perot , bailiffs, John Chalonere . Given at W⟨allingford⟩ . 19 July. ⟨1411.⟩
