Clapcote. Indenture by which Roger Badecok of W⟨allingford⟩ grants to Alice his daughter 5 scattered acres of arable land in C⟨lapcote⟩ by Wallingford, (1) is forera, at la Punde by Thomas le Arblaster ’s land on the south, reaching east to la Greneweye which leads to Hodesbot, (2) between the land late of Sir William de Bereford, kt., on either side, reaching to William of Melebourne ’s land towards the north Mill, and called la Forsshetase, (3) ½ acre between the land late of Henry Ywon on either side, at le Flexlond, reaching to the lynche towards Shillingford bridge, ½ acre between the land of William le Deyar’, merchant, and that of Henry Ywon , reaching to the said lynche, (4) in the shot called Stomforlong between Eustace Clements ’ land and that of Richard de Louches , (5) one acre in Middelforlong between the land late of Richard du char and that of Thomas le arblaster , reaching to le Russhepathe towards the west. Rent: 10 qrs. of barley. Witnesses: Richard de Louches , John son of Osbert of Notele , William Badecoke , Gilbert du char , Walter le cripse , Thomas son of Alan Rossel , Thomas Bone . Given at W⟨allingford⟩ . ⟨1 Nov. 1327.⟩ Berks. ch. 69b. is the otherhalf of this indenture.
