Clapcote. Indenture by which Benedict de Glaunvyle of Wallingford grants to William de Suthmortone, clerk, a piece of arable land called La Gore, outside the west gate of W⟨allingford⟩ in the field of Clopcote, with the adjacent head-acre between the highroad and the field called Hongerhulle, the said Gore extending towards Sottewelle Crouche, from 21 Dec., 1324 to Mich. next, and then for 11 years. Witnesses: Robert of Sottewelle , Richard de Louches , Alan Rossel of Clopcote , Nicholas le coupere , Thomas of Oterborne , Gilbert du char , Walter le crypse . Given at Clopcote. ⟨21 Dec. 1324.⟩
