Clapcote. Indenture by which Benedict de Glaunvyle of Wallingford grants to William de Suthmortone, clerk, a piece of arable land called La Gore, outside the west gate of W⟨allingford⟩ in the field of Clopcote, with the adjacent head-acre between the highroad and the field called Hongerhulle, the said Gore extending towards Sottewelle Crouche, from 21 Dec., 1324 to Mich. next, and then for 11 years.
