Clapcote. Thomas de la Sale son and heir of William de la Sale grants to Nicholas son of Clement, clerk, for 40/- (1) 2 parts of an acre of arable land in Golasfurlonghetum the land of N. f. C. and the land which Agnes, mother of T. de la S. held in dower, reaching south to the prior’s long acre; (2) ½ acre of arable land in the same shot between the said Agnes’ land on each side. Rent: a gillieflower. Witnesses: Sir John de St. John , William de Mackenaye [Macknay] , John de Luchiis , Robert de Sottewelle , Robert de Brihtwaltone , Andrew de Butelor ’, John Huberd . ⟨c. 1270–80.⟩
