The Tailor Charters. Richard the tailor of D⟨aventry⟩ grants to D⟨aventry⟩ in free-alms a rent of 3/- from a gate in Bayueleslane between Richard de Norton ’s tenement and that of John de Welton , 8 feet in width; and from a certain curtilege lying between Robert le Barkere and John de Welton , which gate messuage and curtilege John West once held from the grantor, who had bought them from John Neel at the stated rent. Witnesses: Simon Baudewyne of D⟨aventry⟩ , Geoffrey de aula of the same, Simon de aula of the same, Geoffrey Gamel of Drayton , John le Werrour of the same. Given at D⟨aventry⟩ . ⟨29 Sept. 1317.⟩
