Daventry and Drayton, The Symond Holding. Indenture by which John Saloman of Drayton grants to Matilda wife of Robert Symond of D⟨aventry⟩ and Matilda their daughter, one acre 2 roods of arable land in the South field of Drayton, viz. one acre lying together at ‘le Crosweye’ over ’le Brodebottes’ by the said Matilda’s land, one rood under Stepenhul by the said Matilda’s land, one rood into Westegrovesithe by the lord of D⟨aventry⟩’s land, from Michaelmas 17 Ed. III. for 12 years. [Rent not given.] Witnesses: Robert Wylymet of D⟨aventry⟩ , William de aula of the same, John Werrour of Drayton . ⟨29 Sept. 1343.⟩
