Daventry and Drayton, The Symond Holding. John Neel of D⟨aventry⟩ gives to Robert Symond of D⟨aventry⟩ and Henry his son 9½ acres of arable land in Drayton, viz. in the Southern field 5 roods together over Mawelonde by the land of Geoffrey le Porter ; 5 roods lying together over Westbrocforlong by the land of Geoffrey Gamel ; ½ acre over Northlongforlong by the land late of Lucas de Baddeby : In the North field 5 roods lying together over Waltforlong by the land of the lord which John son of Ralph once held in villeinage; 5 roods lying together in the same shot by the land of Helewise super Montem; 5 roods lying together over Tunstale by the land of Simon de Potkote ; 5 roods ‘into’ Oldegore by the land of Optrhop; ½ acre abutting on Gosecroft by the land of Symon of Potkote; 1 acre abutting on Gosecroft by the land of Symon son of Sir John of Daventry on the one part and the land late of Henry Carpenter of Drayton on the other.
