Etheldrede’s well. If they break this agreement the mill shall be razed. Witnesses: Lady Margaret de Buhun , Lady Matilda de Bohun , wife of the grantor, and Humphrey the chaplain, Ivo the clerk, Philip de D⟨aventry⟩ , Roger de Heyford , Ralph Boterel , Osbert Cranmocville , Wiscard the knight, Eadmund the clerk, William de Haw , William son of Hamo , John de Verin , Thomas de Heyford , Kai de Lichesbarne , Osbert Rufus , Gruganus de D⟨aventry⟩ , Ralph the cook and Simon his brother, Walter of Heddan , Geoffrey the porter , Henry son of Swein , Henry de Nuiers , William de Heirunville , Ralph de camera , William fitz-John , Stephen Turpin , Aubord’ Pucin , Robert the cook ; William Gemme , who surrendered the mill into the lord’s hand when he made this gift, as that which he ought not to erect or hold against the liberty of D., was also a witness. ⟨c. 1180–1198.⟩
