Headington Hugh de Pluggenet grants to the church of St. Andrew of Headington a rent of 2/- for the maintenance of a lamp. Witnesses: Richard the knight of Gersintune, Geoffrey the knight of Fifhide, Adam the prior’s esquire, Ralph of Boteleia. ⟨c. 1190–1200.⟩ N.B. The wording differs slightly, without alteration of substance, towards the end.
