Oxford, St. Aldate’s Richard of Wodehay, mayor of Oxford, inspects, at the request of Robert son of Walter Portreve of Brehull [Brill], an enrollment of the following writing read in the Hustings at Oxford on Monday, the feast of S. Hillary, 38 Ed. III: Richard of Wodehay, Hugh de Saundresdone, rector St Peter le Bailey ’s, Adam of Plumpton, clerk, Walter of Baldyndone, rector of the church of Upledecombe, John of Hertwell, and Walter of Clyne of Oxford, grant to R. f. W. P. of Brehull, 40/- rent from the tenements late of John of St. F., viz. 4 messuages, 7 shops, and 7½ acres of meadow.
