Seal: The one is the private seal of the Prior, a pointed oval, about 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches Within is an oval inscription, 'Esto utrumque, cave utrumque' round two things which look like a snake and a dove Legend: ‘Sigillum Simonis prioris de sancta Frideswida’Seal: The other seal is the seal of the Convent, as given in Wigram's Cartulary of St. Frideswide's, measuring 3 1/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches, with the prior's seal on the reverse.Record Sources
